RT TALES FROM THE INTERRAILS - RELATED WEB LINKS

Here you can find a selection of links to sites that may be of interest. I intend to keep this list reasonably short, so please don't send requests for links to pages that have little or no relevance to my travel stories. I may consider additions to other closely related websites.

RAIL TRAVEL SITES:

Inter Rail The official Inter Rail site, containing details on passes, zones, special offers, trip planning, tourist attractions, links and much more.
trainseurope Gives expert advice and can issue tickets, seat, couchette and sleeper reservations on almost all European trains. Also deals in rail passes, car rental, ferries etc.
Rail Pass Direct UK-based site, part of the Thomas Cook Group, and specializing in Inter Rail passes only, not other types of rail pass. Secure online ordering for UK and Europe citizens.
Europrail International North American Eurail and Britrail Source, with secure online ordering, schedules, fares and travel info.
InterRailer.com Information in several languages about all aspects of Interrailing: tickets, zones, tips on preparation and interactive forums etc.
ricksteves.com Home of Rick Steves' Europe Through The Back Door and other publications from this long-established travel writer. Includes info on rail passes.
Tame's Tales Personal site of a frequent traveller. This link takes you to a page about an Interrail trip around Europe with a broken collar bone.

OTHER TRAVEL SITES:

Thomas Cook Publishing Publishers of the European and Overseas Rail Timetables, rail maps, guides and other specialist rail traveller info.
International Youth Hostel Federation Contains links to national youth hostel association sites, info on special offers and more. Well worth joining if travelling on a budget.

stumpie.com If you don't fancy taking the train, get on your bike! The travels section of this personal site includes a diary of a European bicycle trip, and was a small inspiration for doing my own site.

OTHER RELATED SITES:

Pierre Martinet - Le Traiteur Intraitable! I've found an official site for the Celeriac Remoulade - it even has its own webpage!

Patdagach
Sites containing more details of the protest at Fort-Labiau, mentioned during the tales from Tournai.
